L.E. Graphics achieves health and safety accreditation

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Contractor Plus ApprovedL.E. Graphics are delighted to have achieved ContractorPlus Health and Safety accreditation from sm&ms

The accreditation is the result of a long and detailed approval process in which Health & Safety consultants from sm&ms look at the following areas:

  • Contractors Tax and Insurance details
  • Health and Safety Systems, including any health surveillance and screening process’s
  • Contractors Accident Reporting and Analysis procedures
  • Any prosecutions and notices held by the Contractor
  • Permits to work
  • Quality Assurance Systems and  relevant experience

ContractorPlus provides a database of contractors who have been vigorously vetted to ensure their health and safety systems are of the highest standard.

The system allows clients to search on line for reputable contractors and even filter the search by contractor service or location. All pertinent contractor details are also listed such as contact names and the area covered.

This allows the client to quickly go on line and search for an approved glazing contractor or landscaping company in Birmingham or London, while insuring that the contractors used are fully compliant to all current legislation therefore reducing client liability.

In addition to ContractorPlus approval all of our fitters and installers hold current CSR (construction skills register) health and safety cards. We hope that together these approvals and qualifications will give our clients an extra degree of reassurance whenever we are working on your premises.

If you would like further information on anything discussed in this email, please contact us.

Bespoke Digital Signage

Monday, November 16th, 2009

When the local four star Killyhevlin Hotel approached us recently with a challenge, we were delighted to accept!

Bespoke Digital Sign

The management team felt that the hotel foyer was becoming cluttered with signage. They asked us to design a suitable sign which could replace three existing free-standing signs in their foyer. They had a directory sign to provide basic directions to guests unfamiliar with the hotel, a changeable sign to indicate meals currently being served and another changeable sign to announce special offers, events etc.

The solution which we presented to them was a digital sign designed and custom built especially for the hotel. It is a free standing “monolith” type sign finished in the corporate colours with the Hotel logo and directory graphics at the top.  The traditional signage is complimented by two 15″ TFT monitors which can display static pictures, slideshows or videos. One of the monitors is used to direct visitors to the hotel restaurants and bars currently serving food while the second displays details of offers and promotions. Both monitors can be operated using remote control and images can be added using standard usb memory sticks.

Contact us now to find out how we can use digital signage to help your business.

In-Stitches and LE Graphics Merge

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

We are delighted to announce that from 1st November 2009, In-Stitches will merge with L.E. Graphics and both businesses will continue to trade using only the L.E. Graphics identity.

This is a natural progression since both businesses have operated side by side from the same premises for eleven years.

There will be no changes in the ownership of the company, or the people who deal with yoru enquiries. The phone numbers and address also remain the same.

We hope that one company with one name will make it easier for our customers to do business with us. We will be contacting our customers by email and letter in the coming weeks to explain the merger in full detail.

In the mean time, all of the products and services from www.in-stitches.co.uk have been added to this site and we will eventually close the in-stitches web site and provide all of our online services here at www.legraphics.co.uk

Should you have any questions regarding the changes, please use the contact us page to ask us any questions which you may have.

Mid Year Clothing Price Changes

Price Changes at Mid Year

With effect from 1st July this year there have been some price changes in our product range due to the continuing weakness of the pound against the dollar and euro. Our suppliers have tried to keep increases to a minimum and where possible they have kept costs under control and absorbed increases wherever possible.

Increases do not apply to all suppliers or all prices. Our web site has been updated with the latest prices and we also have an excel file and a PDF version of our price list available to download online. We will be posting out some printed versions of the new price list, please contact us is you would like to receive a copy by post.

We apologise for any inconvenience this causes you and we assure you that we have worked hard to keep price increases to an absolute minimum.

Should you wish to discuss this issue further, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Vehicle Wrapping

Friday, May 15th, 2009

L.E. Graphics are pleased to announce that in addition to our normal vehicle graphics services for which we have earned a country-wide reputation, we are now offering full and partial Vehicle Wrapping.

Vehicle wrapping also called Ad-wrapping can be described in its simplest terms as the process of complete or part covering of a vehicle with full colour images.

L.E. Graphics Transit Van

Research shows that over 3000 people per hour will see branded vehicles on the roads, with urban potential at 500-600 advertising impressions per mile, resulting in Vehicle wrapping being one of the most powerful, and cost effective forms of advertising available. Where-ever you drive; you will be constantly building your brand image and further promoting your business.

Vehicle wrapping is reported as being 800% more cost effective than, for example, a half page advertisement in local business newspapers.

Vehicle wrapping, applied professionally by L.E. Graphics, will educate, inform and, in many cases, entertain both motorists and pedestrians alike. Vehicle wrapping will reach consumers in many conditions that traditional advertising mediums are unable to reach and can easily be used to convey very specific messages.

Vehicle Wrap

Vehicle wrapping is the one form of advertising that can not be switched off and is able to market itself proactively whilst you go about your normal daily business, whether it is intended for promotional or longer-term applications.

There are other less obvious but never-the-less beneficial side effects to Vehicle wrapping such as:

  • It will protect your vehicle paintwork from normal deterioration such as stone chips, road grime and minor abrasions, thereby extending potential vehicle life span.
  • Once the wrapping is removed, the vehicle returns to its former condition
  • A prominent colourful design helps to deter vehicle theft

To ensure your vehicles have that professional image in order to enhance the professional image of your company, talk to the experts today call us on 028 6632 5423 or send us an email now.

Our Concern at WELB Comments about School Uniform

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

Lined School Coat with 3M reflective markings

L.E. Graphics have recently emailed all of the schools in the Western Education and Library Board area to highlight our concern at comments made by WELB regading the lack of availability for school uniforms which incorporate reflective or high visibility markings.

In a story published in the Northern Ireland Press recently, members of a working group set up to develop a strategy to improve safety of pupils travelling to school were told by an official from WELB that it would be over 18 months before reflective markings could be incorporated into school uniform. The group was set up in wake of the road deaths of two Fermanagh teenagers and Devenish College pupils, Debbie Whyte and Nathan Gault, who were tragically killed by a passing car as they walked home from school in Florencecourt.

As one of the leading suppliers of school uniform in the Western Board area and one of very few uniform suppliers in Northern Ireland who embroider and personalise uniforms in our own production facility we at L.E. Graphics were deeply concerned by the comments. We were concerned particularly at the time frame set out by WELB since for the past 5 years we have been supplying local schools with uniform which already incorporates 3M Scotchlite reflective materials – the very best in the market.

We have a wide range of uniform items available from stock and all of these can be embroidered with school crests if required. We have written to the WELB and to members of the various bodies represented on the working group to highlight our concern and to offer every assistance in cooperating with the working group or with individual schools to make safer school uniforms a very real and immediate possibility.

You can view a selection of our high visibility and reflective school uniform on our website by clicking here or you can browse a wider selection of garments here. Of course this only represents a snap-shot of the entire range which we have available and we would encourage you to contact us so that we may arrange to show you samples and discuss how we can fulfil your requirements.

Please contact us today and we will be happy to discuss how we can work together towards improved road safety for our children.
